What is a BARC Card?
BARC is the campus billing and payment system for UCSB. You can use your BARC card to pay for many things on campus, including tuition, housing, dining, and more.To use your BARC card, go to barc.ucsb.edu, sign in, and select “My Account.” Then select “Purchases” from the menu on the left. On the “Purchases” page, under “Payment Options,” click the link for “Barc Card.” Enter your BARC user ID and password, and select “Activate Card.” Finally, select the items you want to purchase and click “Next.”Your BARC card will be charged according to the dates you selected. Where can I buy a BARC Card?
There are three ways to purchase a BARC card: online, at the BARC office on campus, or at participating off-campus stores. The online option is the easiest and fastest, but it is not available to residents of Santa Barbara. The office on campus is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The off-campus stores are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. If you live in Santa Barbara, you can purchase your card at the Santa Barbara City Clerk’s office, located at 211 East Anacapa Street in downtown Santa Barbara (on the second floor of the Bank of America building). The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..
How can I ID my card if lost or stolen?
If you have lost or stolen your UCSB ID card, please follow these instructions: 1) Log in to your MyUCSB account. 2) Click on “Student Resources” in the left navigation bar. 3) Under “My Status,” click on “Lost and Stolen Items.” 4) Select the “UCSB ID Card” from the list of items. 5) Click on the “Details” tab. 6) Enter your name and ID number into the appropriate fields. 7) Click on the “Submit” button. If you have a unique security code associated with your card, enter it into the “Security Code” field.
How much does it cost to buy the card and how long will my balance last?
When you first purchase the card, you will be asked to pay with a cashier check or money order. The minimum purchase is $20 and the balance on the card cannot exceed $2,000. The card can be used at any merchant that accepts Visa cards. The expiration date on the card is two years from the date of issuance.
Does BARC accept credit cards?
BARC does accept Visa and Master Card as forms of payment.
