From there, he formed an organization called Unanimous consent and began to run practices and workouts without the blessing of the coaching staff. The results? Randolph led Charlotte to their first playoff appearance in six years and helped lead them to within two wins of making it to the NBA Finals. Randolph then attended Temple University where he played for the Temple Owls men’s basketball team. He also played football as a defensive back and saw action in both the 1978 and 1979 Rose Bowls. After his playing days were over, Randolph turned to business and founded two successful companies: Sock It To Me, which made socks with graphics on them, and Marc Rand Productions, which created music videos. In 2006, Randolph sold Sock It To Me to Lululemon Athletica for an undisclosed amount. Randolph continues to work as a businessman; he is the chairman of the board of directors at Diversey Capital Advisory Group LLC.

The Struggle to Build Randolph Footwear

Randolph Footwear was started in 1990 by Marc Randolph, a self-taught shoe designer and cobbler. Randolph started making custom shoes for friends and family, but he quickly outgrew his workshop and began to sell his work online.
